Job summary

ABB Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Business Developer to lead customer engagement for the 72.5-145 kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers portfolio. This remote role blends product management and sales to meet utility needs with SF6-free, digital-ready solutions.

Reports to the Product Marketing Director and Global Portfolio Management of Grid Components; remote in the US with preference for Cary, NC or Houston, TX. Expect up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 10+ years of experience in high voltage equipment, preferably circuit breakers.
• Deep understanding of US sub-transmission applications and utility processes.
• Proven track record in technical sales, product management, or business development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with vacuum interrupter technology and SF6-free solutions/regulation.
• Familiarity with IEEE/ANSI standards for high-voltage products.
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
