Job summary
ABB is seeking a Senior Technical Business Developer to drive customer engagement for 72.5-145 kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers, bridging product management and sales. The role focuses on advancing SF6-free, digital-ready solutions for US utilities, EPCs, and OEMs, reporting to the Product Marketing Director with cross-functional ties to Global Portfolio Management.
This fully remote US-based position allows candidates nationwide, with preference for Cary, NC or Houston, TX, and up to 30% travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years in high voltage equipment, preferably with breakers or substation components.
- Experience in technical sales, product management, or business development.
- Knowledge of IEEE/ANSI standards and SF6-free regulation.
Responsibilities
- Lead market strategy and growth for US subtransmission opportunities.
- Serve as primary technical interface for configuration discussions and pre-sales design.
- Ensure IEEE/ANSI compliance and represent ABB in industry groups.
- Build strategic ecosystems and guide product evolution with customer insights.
