Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to advise customers on observability strategy, design solutions, and drive adoption of the New Relic platform.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and marketing to shape engagements and deliver measurable business value. You will lead on-site and remote engagements, create reference architectures and technical content, and continuously grow in a fast-paced, international team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience developing in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry standards and other OSS such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience in observability with New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace, Grafana Labs, or other observability platforms.
• Understanding of Incident Management and Service Level measurement approaches (SLI/SLO).
• Experience with DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering service delivery disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies - Kubernetes, Docker, serverless.
• Presentation and communication skills at both technical and executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead blueprint engagements with sales and technical success to guide customers on achieving observability goals with the New Relic platform.
• Document current and desired state of observability and design solutions to address gaps.
• Engage with customers on-site and remotely to accelerate transformation initiatives and observability maturity.
• Develop artifacts such as reference architectures, technical blogs, conference presentations, and a field resource repository.
• Pursue personal mastery and team learning through training, reading, and mentorship.
