Maximus is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team in delivering innovative IT applications. This strategic leadership role guides engineers across multiple projects, driving excellence in design, development, and integration to meet business needs.

You'll collaborate with delivery and product managers to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions for Medicaid technology, with a fully remote work arrangement and travel of about 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 7+ years of experience.
• Project management planning experience (1-3 years) required.
• Technical Medicaid experience (3-5 years) required.
• Managing cross functional teams preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to software engineers to support design, development, and integration.
• Define priorities aligned to the Software Engineering practice.
• Ensure staff follow best practices across SDLC.
• Lead staffing actions including hiring, performance, and termination.
• Collaborate with delivery and product managers to support product delivery.
• Recruitment and talent retention responsibilities.
