Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Service Designer for remote work in the United States, focusing on government modernization projects with VA programs. You will lead discovery, service design, and cross-functional collaboration to translate research into strategic improvements and measurable outcomes.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams across product, engineering, data, and research, influence client decisions, and promote responsible AI-enabled innovation while growing design capabilities

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in service design, UX design, user research, or related field.
• Strong command of service design methods, research & discovery techniques, and systems thinking.
• Ability to turn complex challenges into actionable recommendations with measurable impact.
• Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder facilitation skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
• Ability to connect service design decisions to business objectives and growth opportunities.
• Experience applying responsible AI-enabled approaches to improve outcomes.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% depending on location.
• US citizenship is required for the government contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Map relationships between people, processes, technology to identify holistic improvements.
• Partner with product, engineering, data, and researchers to align priorities and solutions.
• Engage with clients, validate assumptions, present and defend recommendations.
• Identify and address delivery risks and ensure quality across programs.
• Explore responsible AI tools to accelerate discovery and decision-making.
• Contribute to internal initiatives and knowledge sharing of best practices.
• Support proposals and new business opportunities with service design insights.
