Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a senior SCADA Design Lead to own in-house design and specifications for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects. You will drive complex SCADA workstreams, produce detailed drawings in AutoCAD and Visio, define standards, and mentor engineers while ensuring project delivery and long-term reliability.

This fully remote role requires strong experience in SCADA networks, communication diagrams, and field installation support.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering preferred.
• 6-8 years of engineering experience in renewable energy including utility-scale PV, BESS, or wind.
• Direct experience drafting SCADA/Networking drawings.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking and SCADA protocols.
• Ability to work with sub-contractors and field personnel.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own SCADA design for utility-scale projects including PV, BESS, and wind.
• Develop drawings for SCADA systems in AutoCAD and Visio.
• Define, document and improve SCADA standards and practices.
• Review scope of work and translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Prepare design docs: diagrams, port maps, powering diagrams, BOMs.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews.
• Collaborate with SOLV OT on hardware requirements and risk mitigation.
• Support commissioning, FATs, and field installation.
• Ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards.
