Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a senior SCADA Design Lead for nationwide, fully remote work on utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects. You will own in-house SCADA designs, drive standards, and mentor engineers while coordinating with OT teams and customers to ensure reliable, compliant systems.

You will generate and review drawings in AutoCAD and Visio, define hardware and networking requirements, and guide FATs and commissioning activities across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering preferred.
• Leading SCADA design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, and design documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking and fiber optic systems.
• Awareness of NERC compliance and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA design workstreams for utility-scale PV, BESS, and other projects and produce high-quality drawings.
• Review project scope and approve detailed design documents including diagrams and BOMs.
• Mentor junior engineers and reinforce SOLV design standards.
• Collaborate with SOLV OT team to define hardware and networking requirements.
• Lead system design review portions of FATs and support commissioning.
• Coordinate with customers, field technicians, and 3rd party integrators during on-site work.
