Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a senior SCADA design lead to own the in-house SCADA design for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar PV, Wind, and BESS.

The role is fully remote and focuses on leading design workstreams, drafting comprehensive diagrams, and maintaining SOLV standards to ensure reliability and commissioning readiness. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with SOLV OT teams, and drive standardization across projects to improve efficiency and long-term system

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, or energy engineering.
• Direct experience in SCADA engineering.
• Direct experience drafting engineering drawing sets for SCADA, networking, and related systems.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex SCADA design workstreams for utility-scale PV, BESS, and other power generation projects.
• Develop designs in AutoCAD and Visio to support large-scale SCADA systems.
• Define and improve SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Review scope of work documents and approve detailed design documentation including diagrams, wiring diagrams, port maps, and BOMs for SCADA racks and enclosures.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with OT teams on hardware requirements.
• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for commissioning and FAT reviews and project handoffs.
