Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support Account Executives and drive revenue growth in both new and existing partner relationships. The role requires a strong sales and technical background in Mainframe Security and modernization, with the ability to lead technical sales opportunities.

You will relate to customer challenges, present value-based solutions, and mentor teams, while managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant sales advisory or sales engineering experience.
• Mainframe security experience with AS/400 / IBM i and z/OS.
• Mainframe Modernization experience.
• REST services and other application development skills.
• Strong problem solving and requirements gathering skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Relate to customer challenges and provide clear value-based solutions.
• Present solutions to customers and partners with or without sales support.
• Support partners in all aspects of the sales process.
• Convey technical details to non-technical audiences and build credibility with technical stakeholders.
• Help qualify opportunities by understanding user requirements and technical environment.
• Mentor and guide on software components, design techniques, and delivery concepts.
