Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to bridge Sales and Engineering for enterprise merchants.

You’ll combine technical aptitude, communication skills, and creative problem solving to help design scalable, reliable solutions on the Affirm platform. You will collaborate with the Merchant Engineering, Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to map capabilities to merchant systems, craft compelling technical narratives, build demos, and influence product direction while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or technology, or equivalent technical account management experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, Solutions Engineering, technical sales or pre-sales.
• 3+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or closely related industry.
• Strong API integrations knowledge and experience with SaaS platforms and enterprise architectures.
• Experience architecting solutions and positioning them with prospects for e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on integration solutions and articulate how Aff… capabilities map to merchant systems.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing merchant challenges, evaluating tradeoffs with platform capabilities and non-functional requirements.
• Build trust with internal and external technical teams and foster long-term enterprise relationships.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering teams to drive opportunities with large customers and enable successful implementations.
• Provide feedback to product management to influence development and feature prioritization.
• Create scalable go-to-market assets, training materials, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute technical input to sales planning and forecast, identifying risks early.
• Develop pre-sales materials and demos for new products and features.
