Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Rebar Estimator/Detailer to support estimating, detailing, and project management across remote project sites. The role emphasizes developing labor and material pricing, reviewing drawings, and driving reliable cost judgments.

Ideal candidates have extensive reinforcing-steel experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and RebarCAD. Remote work is possible with periodic travel to project sites and meetings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings
• Experience with large concrete projects (industrial, infrastructure)
• Strong reading of structural drawings and specs
• Experience with RFIs and constructability reviews

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor and equipment estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Identify constructability issues and cost exposures early in bids.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates; assist bid strategy.
• Review shop/placing drawings for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate reinforcing steel with structural/MEP requirements.
