Zusammenfassung

B&B Concrete is seeking a senior estimator to join the remote estimating team. You will review structural drawings, perform reinforcing-steel takeoffs, develop labor and material pricing, and address constructability concerns across project teams.

The role involves leading the department's standardization efforts and mentoring junior staff. Ideal candidates have substantial reinforcing-steel experience, with strong analytical, communication and organizational skills, plus proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Significant experience estimating reinforcing steel.
• Significant experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Experience on large concrete projects with heavy reinforcing.
• Strong reading of structural drawings and specs.
• Familiar with fabrication and field placement of reinforcing steel.
• Knowledge of ACI/CRSI requirements and industry practices.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, aSa, Tekla or SDS/2.

Aufgaben

• Lead and perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor and equipment estimates.
• Set labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Identify risks and cost exposures before bids.
• Prepare conceptual to final estimates and assist bid strategy.
• Coordinate pricing for materials, fabrication and subs.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation.
• Mentor junior estimators and detailers as the dept grows.
• Establish standardized estimating procedures and templates.
