Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist to handle property claims for customers in Northern VA with a work-from-home setup and periodic site visits. You will investigate, evaluate liability, and negotiate settlements while maintaining high service standards.

In this role you will leverage Xactimate and industry knowledge to settle claims efficiently, mentor peers, and support claims management. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience handling property claims.
• Proficiency with Xactimate.
• Experience writing estimates and handling claims start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Handles all assigned claims promptly with minimal direction, including complex losses.
• Determines proper coverages and applies standard methodologies to conclude cases.
• Opens, closes and adjusts reserves according to company practices.
