Job summary

Humana is seeking a product owner to translate reporting needs into defined requirements and drive delivery with development teams. You will manage the reporting backlog, collaborate with data science and analytics, and ensure accurate, actionable dashboards for stakeholders in a remote, US-wide role.

We value agile delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, CS, IT, or related field.
3–6+ years of product management or product owner experience.
Experience delivering a product, reporting, or analytics capability.
Translate needs into clear requirements; write epics, features, and stories.
Knowledge of KPIs/OKRs and measurement concepts.
Build cross-functional relationships across data science, analytics, and business teams.
Experience with agile methodologies, backlog management, and PI Planning.
Understanding of SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile; familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira Align.

Responsibilities

Translate measurement and reporting needs into well-defined requirements, writing clear epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the development teams.
Drive delivery of new reporting requirements with the development teams, serving as the day-to-day product point of contact throughout the build cycle.
Manage and prioritize the reporting backlog, ensuring the most valuable items are ready for development and sequenced by business impact and dependency.
Participate in agile ceremonies— sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, demos, and retrospectives—clarifying requirements and unblocking issues as they arise.
Manage dependencies and risks, tracking progress, adjusting plans as needed, and escalating when timelines or scope are at risk.
Assist with measurement tracking across NBA, helping monitor business KPIs / NBA effectiveness, model performance, and operational metrics.
Support KPI and metric framework by ensuring metrics are captured accurately and clearly defined for each audience.
Validate reporting and dashboards against acceptance criteria before release, confirming data is accurate, consistent, and decision-ready.
Generate and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track progress and surface actionable insights for the LPM and stakeholders.
Help maintain documentation of metric definitions, reporting logic, and processes to support knowledge transfer and consistent measurement.
Partner with development, data science, and analytics teams to align on requirements and evaluation approaches.
Gather requirements from business stakeholders and upstream teams, accurately representing their needs in backlog items and delivery plans.
Provide regular progress updates, demos, feedback, and manage expectations with stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships across Marketing, Digital, call center (CCC), and IT partners to support smooth delivery.
