Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Owner to prioritize and oversee the development team’s work, ensuring high-value product outcomes. You will define user stories, manage the backlog, clarify requirements, and maximize value delivered.

You will partner with Product Manager, collaborate with stakeholders, and translate business needs into actionable items. Travel may be required for training or meetings. 40 hours weekly, remote position with occasional travel to Humana offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years representing business or technology in technology implementations and/or product/project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, meeting facilitation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Certified SAFe Product Owner/PM or equivalent.
• Agile / Scrum certification (Agile Practitioner, Scrum Alliance, etc.).
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Interact day-to-day with the development team and the Scrum Master.
• Partner with the Product Manager to define and prioritize the backlog based on the roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand end-user needs and shape requirements.
• Translate business priorities into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting delivery.
• Confirm product quality and that it meets acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrate value of sprint outcomes and communicate progress.
• Support multiple Agile Delivery Teams.
• Foster strong relationships between business and IT.
