Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in process improvement, agile transformation, and policy development for federal programs. Remote work with US-based candidates who can meet Public Trust requirements and work within Veterans Affairs (VA) initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading complex projects
• Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows
• Proficiency creating functional specs, user stories, use cases, and process diagrams
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience with JIRA and project tracking tools
• Strong data analysis and ability to present findings
• Ability to translate technical info into business language
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
• Willingness to pursue ongoing education and certifications
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on continuous process improvement, redesign, change management, and performance measures
• Define and develop business processes, policies, roles, and metrics
• Analyze current state, gaps, benchmarking, and best practices
• Plan and implement future state designs and change management
• Coordinate with customers, IT, and client services
• Oversee quality programs to ensure compliance and performance
• Apply Agile and SAFe to align strategy and manage large portfolios
• Ensure compliance with policies and governmental regulations
• Lead client interviews and deliver training on measurement and analysis
• Present findings and cost-benefit analyses to stakeholders
• Provide direction to staff per policies and management guidance
• Mentor junior analysts and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Maintain documentation of requirements and process flows
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies
