Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Significant pre-sales systems engineering or solution consulting experience in enterprise or cloud environments.
• Deep experience in campus and branch networking, wired/wireless, WAN, security, and network access control.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior pre-sales technical advisor for assigned Federal Civilian Agency customers, focusing on campus, branch, WAN, security, and access control architectures.
• Partner with Account Managers to identify, qualify, and advance opportunities from discovery through close.
• Lead customer discovery and translate business, operational, and technical requirements into solution architectures and roadmaps.
• Design and present solutions spanning wired and wireless campus networking, branch networking, WAN, security, NAC, automation, and cloud operations.
• Build and deliver technical proposals, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and PoC engagements.
• Articulate HPE Networking differentiation and position solutions against competitors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to remove blockers and align solutions to customer outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies relevant to cloud-driven environments.
• Develop trusted relationships with customer engineers, architects, and decision-makers.
• Support channel and partner engagement to expand reach within accounts.
• Travel regularly to customer sites, internal meetings, and strategic events.
