Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Presales Systems Engineer with deep expertise in networking, security, cloud architecture, and automation to support enterprise and federal customers across complex hybrid environments.

You will lead engagements, architect secure solutions, and mentor teams while translating technical concepts into measurable business outcomes. This remote role offers exposure to multi-vendor ecosystems and strategic customer initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, network architecture, security engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
• Strong consultative and customer-facing experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise, healthcare, federal, or service provider environments.
• Demonstrated success leading technical engagements and influencing strategic customer decisions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Experience conducting customer workshops, technical roadshows, or enablement sessions.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor for enterprise and federal customer engagements.
• Architect and deliver secure, scalable networking and security solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Lead customer workshops, PoCs, demonstrations, technical validations, and architecture sessions.
• Design and support solutions involving EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, IPv6, SDN, Zero Trust security, NAC/802.1X, IPSec/SSL VPN, microsegmentation, data center and campus networking.
• Collaborate with sales teams and partners to develop technical strategy for complex opportunities.
• Develop automation workflows using Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, and related DevOps frameworks.
• Deliver executive-level presentations and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide product feedback and field insight to engineering and product management teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical enablement initiatives.
