Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior People Partner to serve as a trusted strategic partner to engineering leaders, helping drive high performance, manager effectiveness, and strong employee experiences across the organization. You will work closely with managers and team leads to support organizational growth, performance management, and leadership development in a fast-paced technology environment.

This role also requires strong employee relations judgment and the ability to navigate complex people

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role.
• Experience in scaling SaaS or tech firms, with engineering teams.
• Strong employee relations and investigations experience.
• Knowledge of performance management and competency frameworks.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with Ontario employment law; knowledge of US/California law is a plus.
• Experience with compensation planning or pay equity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary people partner for engineering managers and team leads
• Equip managers to foster high performance through clear goals and ongoing feedback
• Cultivate a culture of performance by establishing manager habits for recognition and accountability
• Manage employee relations matters, including performance improvement plans and terminations
• Design and implement a leadership training program for new managers
• Oversee the 90-day and annual review processes for client groups
• Define competencies and performance metrics to guide evaluations
