Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; able to draft penalty abatement requests with documentation.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State returns across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, ownership through case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors across multiple pay periods and jurisdictions; drive correction workflows.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving Correction, Amendment, and Notice requests with accuracy.
• Coach Senior Payroll Tax Processors and transfer knowledge to build team capability.
• Author and review SOPs and Knowledge Base articles for core processes; identify recurring errors.
