Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, amendments, and corrections. The role combines hands-on tax defect resolution with mentoring, SOP development, and cross-team collaboration to improve processes and customer outcomes.

As a remote/hybrid expert, you will guide less experienced staff, own the most challenging cases, and contribute to knowledge base improvements while ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focusing on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Ability to independently draft penalty abatement requests and formal agency responses.
• Hands-on experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.

Responsabilités

• Resolve the most complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning full case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple quarters and jurisdictions; drive complete correction workflow.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving correction, amendment, and notice requests with accuracy.
• Coach Senior Payroll Tax Processors and share resolution processes to build team capability.
