Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Expert to resolve complex state and federal notices and amend returns. The Staff Payroll Tax Processor leads technical work, mentors peers, and owns the most challenging cases end-to-end.

The role focuses on tax defect resolution, not payroll processing, with Cross-functional collaboration across Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams to deliver accurate, timely resolutions.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal notices; ability to draft agency responses with documentation.
• Experience preparing amended Federal/State payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c) across states.

Aufgaben

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices, owning full case lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended returns (941-X, state equivalents) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors across pay periods and jurisdictions; drive correction workflow.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Correction, Amendment, and Notice requests with accuracy.
• Monitor WIP, identify aging cases, and escalate blockers with root-cause analysis.
• Coach and support Senior Processors; share resolution knowledge via Slack, Zoom, and sessions.
• Contribute to team huddles, QA sessions, and SOP/KB development.
• Identify trends; communicate findings and drive implementation of resolutions.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
