Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. This remote role requires occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust suitability determination.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and monitoring Oracle database solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, strong SQL/PLSQL skills, and hands-on experience with Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate, and job

Qualifications

10+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
Extensive experience with Oracle in standalone and multi-tenant architectures on Windows/Linux/Unix (on premises and cloud).
Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN backups, export/import, GoldenGate setup and configuration, and job scheduling/monitoring.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Oracle 19c, Oracle on Linux, and MySQL on Ubuntu preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide insight into database storage, utilization, lifecycle management, and privacy requirements to align with technical vision.
Collaborate with Development Team and Management to design and implement solutions.
Lead and participate in internal meetings to align with Developers, communicate vision, and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure new solutions are designed for optimal access and usefulness, leveraging existing technologies.
