Medium is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to manage and support critical database systems as part of our digital transformation. This role involves working closely with engineering teams, guiding best practices, and ensuring high availability of database systems across public cloud and traditional data centers. Candidates should have 10+ years of Oracle database administration experience, alongside software development skills. The position offers a salary range of $150K to $165K/year, along with robust benefits including remote work options, health coverage, and profit-sharing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Oracle database administration experience in a mission critical 24x7 environment.
• Experience with Java, React, Typescript, Python, Node, Go, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Java, AWS Lambda, and development frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams.
• Document the database environment and create a data dictionary.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across database and application tiers.
