Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Distinguished National Support Engineer based in the United States. The role combines senior technical leadership with hands-on escalation management for enterprise medical imaging, PACS/VNA, storage, and informatics.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical standards, and collaborate with software, QA, product teams to improve reliability and customer outcomes. Remote work with occasional travel and after-hours support required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive industry experience as a Technical, Systems, Software, or Quality Assurance Engineer in medical IT, medical imaging, or related technology environments.
• Master's degree with at least 8 years of industry experience, a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of industry experience, or 12+ years of comparable professional experience.
• Experience at Senior Principal National Support Engineer II level is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one current product line, with basic to intermediate knowledge of at least one additional product.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly in high-pressure technical situations.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise medical informatics architecture, virtualization technologies (VMware), and storage solutions.
• Strong understanding of storage systems and protocols (SMB, S3).
• Expert knowledge of networking architectures, Wireshark, and network analysis tools.
• Proficiency with DICOM, HL7, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL/TLS.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Windows Server 2012-2022+, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux).
• Scripting/Programming: Bash, PowerShell, C#, Java, Python, HTML, XML.
• Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL.
• Docker, Kubernetes familiarity.
• Willingness to work outside hours and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation, triage, and resolution of highly complex technical escalations.
• Collaborate with development leadership to analyze critical issues and drive resolution.
• Provide advanced technical support across enterprise imaging and informatics solutions.
• Mentor support engineers and establish mentorship programs.
• Deliver technical training on complex systems and new releases.
• Lead cross-functional investigations with software, QA, and product teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in escalation handling and documentation.
• Develop and publish diagnostic procedures and knowledge base articles.
• Establish best practices and standards for global support operations.
• Research emerging technologies to enhance support capabilities and product performance.
• Influence product architecture and design decisions for reliability and scalability.
• Advise senior management on technical decisions and trends.
• Communicate complex issues to customers and stakeholders.
• Support new releases and special projects in partnership with development teams.
• Provide after-hours on-call support for critical outages.
• Maintain expertise in current imaging products and industry developments.
