Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with 9+ years of focused experience in mining law and natural resources.
• Strong knowledge of SA mining legislation (MPRDA, NEMA) and related regulations.
• Proven experience advising on exploration, mining rights, and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal guidance on mining rights, permits, licenses, and transfers.
• Ensure compliance with MPRDA, NEMA, and ESG requirements impacting operations.
• Draft and review exploration, JV, and mining agreements.
• Represent company in negotiations with government authorities and stakeholders.
• Conduct due diligence for mining acquisitions and investments.
• Manage community engagement and social license to operate issues.
