The Senior Manager, Network Planning will shape multi-year strategy, lead a team, and partner across Finance, Engineering, and Operations to deliver capital-efficient, risk-aware plans.

This full-time remote/work-from-home role in the USA requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in network planning, telecommunications, infrastructure strategy, engineering, operations, financial planning, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of formal people leadership experience with performance and development responsibilities.
• Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional portfolios with material capital, customer, or strategic impact.
• Strong knowledge of network capacity planning, forecasting, infrastructure investment, project lifecycle, and operational risk management.
• Proven financial acumen, including capital planning, business-case development, forecasting, and variance management.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience using analytics, dashboards, and planning tools to improve decisions and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, priorities, and operating plans for a portfolio spanning capacity, modernization, optimization, and growth.
• Translate business strategy, product roadmaps, demand forecasts, and network constraints into multi-year investment plans with defined outcomes.
• Drive integrated planning across network domains to ensure end-to-end alignment and effective investment decisions.
• Establish governance, decision frameworks, and escalation paths with senior-level recommendations and tradeoffs.
• Lead capital planning, prioritization, forecasting, and variance management to balance customer needs and efficiency.
• Develop investment proposals with clear business rationale, scope, milestones, and financial impact.
• Partner with Finance and delivery teams to manage commitments and forecast accuracy.
• Improve capital efficiency through optimization and architectural options.
• Convert planning decisions into executable projects with defined scope and ownership.
• Manage dependencies across engineering, procurement, operations, and vendors.
• Lead portfolio risk, issue management, and executive escalation.
• Measure network health, forecast quality, and delivery readiness.
• Champion data-driven planning with dashboards, scorecards, and automated reporting.
• Lead with analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify constraints and accelerate decisions.
• Ensure governance and accountability for automated insights.
• Represent Network Planning in executive reviews and cross-functional forums.
• Translate technical/financial information into clear business impacts and actions.
• Build stakeholder alignment and drive accountability across teams.
