Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support ISV software installations, upgrades, testing, and configuration on the z/OS platform. You will be on-call for incidents and problems and collaborate with teams to resolve issues and implement changes.

The role requires deep z/OS knowledge, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and USS expertise, with a strong emphasis on analytical thinking and teamwork in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in a mainframe environment in a large enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and SMP/E maintenance.
• Expertise in TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
• USS file system management and security expertise.
• Ability to perform as a Mainframe System Programmer.
• Ability to handle moderately complex ISV installations.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, test, configure and implement ISV software.
• Provide on-call support and incident/problem resolution.
• Monitor and evaluate new software; assist teams with technical questions.
• Communicate with vendors and contribute to technical projects.
• Support z/OS components and related software.
