Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support to our mainframe clients relating to CICS TS and OEM software products. This role is remote in the United States and requires hands-on installation, configuration, and problem solving on z/OS.

You will work 24x7x365 in multiple time zones, participate in OS upgrade readiness, support customer migrations, and collaborate with disaster recovery services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years on the zSeries mainframe with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical abilities and understanding of CICS TS concepts.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues.
• Support 24x7x365 across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products per best practices and Ensono standards.
• Assist with customer partitions for OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations for new transitions.
• Collaborate on disaster recovery tasks.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
• Upgrade and maintain z/OS and related OEM products.
