Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to install, upgrade, configure, and implement ISV software on z/OS platforms. You will handle on-call support, incident resolution, and vendor communications, ensuring stable, secure operations across the enterprise.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of mainframe experience, strong TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. This role offers remote work with occasional client-site visits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience within a mainframe environment in a large enterprise or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of z/OS and z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Strong knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX System Services (USS) and security.
• Ability to perform skill set of a Mainframe System Programmer.
• Ability to perform moderately complex ISV installations.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills at management level.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Initiative and good learning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, test, configure, and implement all ISV software.
• Monitor and provide on-call support for software.
• Research and evaluate new software.
• Assist team members with technical questions and resolution of problems.
• Incident, change and problem handling.
• Configuration and customization of systems and parameters.
• Setup of parameters and coordination with vendors.
• Participation in technical projects.
