Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support installation, upgrades, testing, configuration, and implementation of ISV software on z/OS. The role emphasizes on-call support, incident resolution, and collaboration with vendors to drive technical projects and performance improvements.

Candidates should have 7+ years in a mainframe environment, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, deep knowledge of z/OS and SMP/E, and strong skills in TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL and USS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of mainframe experience in a large enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Strong knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Strong knowledge of Unix System Services (USS).
• Ability to work well as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide incident and problem resolution for mainframe environments.
• Configure and customize z/OS and related products.
• Setup parameters and support changes in production.
• Communicate with vendors and participate in technical projects.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of z/OS services and Parallel Sysplex.
