Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes. You will build scalable microservices, serverless solutions, and batch processing with Spring Batch, while creating robust RESTful APIs and ensuring security and performance across distributed teams.

The role requires US-based candidates, East Coast hours, and collaboration with client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise Java experience (8/11/17+).
• Strong Spring Framework & Spring Boot with REST services and microservices.
• Hands-on AWS experience (DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Serverless).
• Knowledge of AWS Kubernetes (K8s) and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with Spring Batch and large-scale batch processing.
• Experience building REST/JSON/OpenAPI APIs.
• Security best practices in cloud environments.
• Observability with Datadog and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native applications.
• Build and maintain scalable microservices and serverless components.
• Develop batch processing with Spring Batch for large datasets.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with performance and security in mind.
• Troubleshoot production issues with monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and CI/CD.
