Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will build scalable microservices and serverless solutions, create RESTful APIs, and ensure security, performance, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

The role requires work primarily in East Coast business hours with flexibility for distributed teams and client schedules.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java (8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including RESTful services and DI.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3, DocumentDB, IAM).
• Experience developing APIs using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of serverless, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience building and consuming APIs using REST/JSON/OpenAPI.
• Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Strong knowledge of multithreaded programming, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience with non-relational databases, notably DynamoDB and DocumentDB.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS technologies.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices, serverless solutions, and event-driven architectures.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile methodologies and CI/CD.
