Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications that deliver strong user experiences. You will work with architects, product owners, and developers to build scalable software across cloud environments.

Key responsibilities include building Java Spring Boot microservices, serverless components, and RESTful APIs, with strong emphasis on observability and performance. This role requires US-based work and alignment with East Coast hours.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building enterprise apps using Java and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot, REST services.
• Experience with cloud-native apps on AWS including Lambda and DB services.
• API development with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of serverless, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with REST, JSON, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Datadog or similar observability tooling experience.
• Knowledge of multithreading and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, AWS.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices, serverless solutions, and event-driven architectures.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with performance and security in mind.
• Troubleshoot production issues via monitoring, observability, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile and CI/CD practices.
