Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers to deliver secure, high-performing software across distributed teams, following Agile, CI/CD, and observability practices (Datadog).

This role requires US-based candidates who can work East Coast hours and are authorized to work without visa sponsorship

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience developing enterprise apps using Java (8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, RESTful services.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
• Experience developing APIs using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Understanding of serverless, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience building and consuming APIs using REST, JSON, OpenAPI.
• Experience with Datadog observability.
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming and performance optimization.
• Experience with DynamoDB and DocumentDB.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices, serverless solutions, and event-driven architectures.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with performance, security, and reliability in mind.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
