Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS. You will build scalable microservices, serverless components, and RESTful APIs while ensuring performance and security.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship. The role supports East Coast business hours with remote work options and collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java (8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including RESTful services.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, including Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3, DocumentDB, IAM.
• Experience developing APIs using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of serverless, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience building and consuming APIs using REST, JSON, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Strong knowledge of multithreaded programming, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience with non-relational databases, particularly DynamoDB and DocumentDB.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS technologies.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices, serverless solutions, and event-driven architectures.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through monitoring, observability, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
