Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to work on HV/EHV overhead and underground transmission projects. You will apply NESC/ASCE/ACI standards, perform analyses, and prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement packages.

This role involves client interfacing and coordination with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams. The position emphasizes leadership, project scoping, budgeting, and the ability to work both in a team and independently,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years in electric transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs and associated packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE/ACI/AISC; procurement, schedules, and work packages.
• Ability to lead, develop scopes, budgets and proposals.
• Strong client communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer HV/EHV overhead and underground transmission projects.
• Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI standards during design and analysis.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement packages.
• Interface with clients, planning, permitting and construction teams.
• Lead project teams and supervise others as needed.
