Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on electric transmission design. The role covers HV overhead and underground systems from 46 kV to 345 kV and involves applying NESC, ASCE, ACI, and related standards while interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include engineering analyses, bidding documents, plans and specifications, and preparation of material procurement and construction packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and minimum four (4) years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, AISC code requirements and construction packages.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals; work in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of HV overhead and underground transmission lines (46 kV–345 kV).
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement/construction packages.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
