Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on electric transmission design from 46kV to 345 kV, including HV overhead and underground systems.

You will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and related standards while preparing bidding documents, plans and specifications, and construction packages. The role involves interfacing with clients and multidisciplinary teams, developing project scopes and proposals, and occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with four+ years in electric utility transmission design.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, AISC requirements and related construction packages.
• Experience reviewing transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models and construction packages.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Design electric transmission line systems (HV overhead and underground) from 46kV to 345 kV.
• Apply standards (NESC, ASCE, ACI) to overhead systems and voltage conversion projects.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans and specifications; manage material procurement and construction docs.
• Interfacing with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
• Work with Leidos team and travel to client sites as needed.
