Job summary

Leidos Inc. seeks a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on electric transmission line design for HV overhead and underground systems from 46kV to 345kV.

The engineer will apply NESC/ASCE/ACI standards, develop scopes, budgets, and proposals, and prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement/construction packages, interfacing with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 8+ years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, plans and profiles, and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, and ASCE code requirements; construction specs; procurement; schedules; and work packages.

Responsibilities

• Engineer on HV overhead and underground transmission line design projects (46kV–345kV).
• Apply standards and prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement/construction docs.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental permitting, and construction management personnel.
