Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Sr. Escrow Oversight Specialist to oversee loans with mortgage insurance, reconcile PMI/MI payments, and place escrow stops during refinances.

This remote, home-based role offers $22.00–$25.00 per hour and requires strong Escrow Liaison Level II capabilities and compliance with regulations. The role involves overseeing loans with FHA/PMI/USDA insurance, coordinating monthly payments, and producing data for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred but not required.
• Experience with mortgage loan servicing systems (FiServ/Sagent, Encompass, Digital Portal, AutoPilot, OnBase).
• 3–4 years in banking/finance/mortgage or escrow.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform Escrow Liaison Level II duties in addition to Senior duties.
• Strong communication and deadline-driven work style.
• Strong math skills and accuracy in balance and checks.
• Ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks per applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist escrow management with boarding and reconciliation for new loan populations.
• Oversee loans with active mortgage insurance (FHA/MIP/USDA).
• Reconcile, process, and bulk transfer monthly payments for FHA/PMI/USDA.
• Coordinate with FHA/PMI/USDA vendors for information and issue resolution.
• Process reports of loans pending refinance to stop escrow disbursements.
• Generate data points from spreadsheets for daily/weekly tasking and reviews.
• Perform quality control reviews and report findings to management.
• Escalate complex escrow issues and propose solutions.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
