Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Sr. Escrow Oversight Specialist to oversee loans with mortgage insurance premiums and manage monthly insurance payments exceeding $33 million.

This role supports escrow processes, reconciling premiums and placing escrow stops on refinance-affected loans, all while adhering to regulatory requirements. The position requires Escrow Liaison Level II capabilities, with a starting pay of $22.00–$25.00 per hour, and offers remote work from home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred but not required.
• 3-4 years of banking/finance/mortgage or escrow experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform Escrow Liaison Level II duties and mentor junior staff.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loans with mortgage insurance premiums and reconcile monthly mortgage insurance payments.
• Boarding processes and reconciliation for newly acquired loan populations.
• Independent oversight of loans with active mortgage insurance (FHA/MIP/USDA).
• Reconcile and bulk transfer monthly payments for FHA/PMI/USDA.
• Communicate with FHA/PMI/USDA vendors to obtain information and resolve issues.
• Stop escrow disbursements for loans pending refinance.
• Prepare data points for daily/weekly tasking and monthly reviews.
