Job summary

BEM Systems, An Aventia Company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager in a fully remote role serving government clients from Madison, NJ. You will lead complex enterprise software implementations and upgrades, ensuring governance, scope control, and successful transition to operations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years managing $1M-$5M projects, strong SaaS and fixed-price controls, and uses AI tools to boost delivery efficiency while maintaining security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, information systems, organizational management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of project management experience leading enterprise software, SaaS, web, or systems implementations.
• Experience delivering $1M-$5M enterprise projects from initiation through deployment, stabilization, acceptance, and support transition.
• Advanced scope management skills, including baselining requirements, traceability, SOW alignment, change control, and scope-creep prevention.
• Experience managing fixed-price projects, budgets, forecasts, margins, milestones, and change orders.
• Experience leading training, adoption, and organizational change for enterprise implementations.
• Experience leading onsite, remote, and offshore teams across time zones.
• Strong multi-project management capabilities and executive reporting.
• Advanced stakeholder management with executives, client teams, subcontractors.
• Proficiency with AI-enabled productivity and project management tools.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and traditional methods.
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent enterprise software implementations and upgrades from kickoff through acceptance.
• Own project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, milestones, dependencies, and delivery reporting.
• Maintain requirements traceability, enforce SOW and change control to prevent scope creep, manage margins and invoicing.
• Serve as primary client contact and lead status meetings, workshops, steering committees, demos, and executive communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across analysis, configuration, development, integrations, migration, testing, training, deployment, and support.
• Manage risks, issues, decisions, actions, acceptance, document control, and delivery quality; escalate concerns and drive action.
• Lead readiness, testing, training, go-live, stabilization, stakeholder communications, adoption, and organizational change activities.
• Use AI and automation tools to improve planning, reporting, and meeting follow-up with human review and security controls.
• Capture lessons learned and improve delivery methods and templates across ITS portfolio.
