Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Account Executive for Vertica product sales. You will own revenue growth in your territory, shaping opportunities, leading multi-stakeholder deals, and building trusted executive relationships to drive data-driven transformation.

In this role you will collaborate with Pre-Sales and cross-functional teams, articulate business value of analytics and lakehouse strategies, and navigate competitive landscapes to accelerate pipeline and close big deals.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of enterprise software sales experience with a quota track record.
• Successful history closing complex deals in large enterprises.
• Experience selling to Global 1000 organizations and managing revenue outcomes.
• Familiarity with analytics, data platforms, and modern data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver revenue targets for assigned territory or strategic accounts.
• Develop territory and account strategies to drive pipeline and revenue growth.
• Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles from opportunity shaping to close.
• Build relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders to position Vertica effectively.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales to drive evaluations and proof-of-concepts.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to close opportunities.
