Job summary

Coinbase is a remote-first company increasing economic freedom. As a Senior Engineering Manager on the Core Automation team, you will lead the engineering org building Agentic AI systems that transform Coinbase operations, focusing on compliant, scalable automation.

You will hire and grow multiple teams, set multi-quarter roadmaps for production AI systems, and partner with Compliance and Operations to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Proven track record shipping AI-based applications to production.
• Experience with compliance, customer support automation, or fintech domains.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a high-performing engineering organization, coaching managers and senior engineers.
• Set the technical vision and roadmap for Agentic AI systems.
• Lead architecture and delivery of production LLM-based systems with guardrails and grounding.
• Drive multiple automation initiatives across compliance automation domains.
• Establish engineering standards and AI adoption frameworks.
