Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for the Core Automation team.

You will lead the engineering org building Agentic AI systems that transform compliance and customer support at scale, with guarded, auditable, production-ready AI. You will own the technical vision, drive multi-quarter roadmaps with product and governance partners, and grow multiple teams while delivering high-impact automation across critical workflows.

Qualifications

Ten or more years in software with leadership experience.
Proven track record shipping AI-enabled applications to production.
Strong distributed systems and cloud-native architecture knowledge.
Ability to translate strategy into executable roadmaps and milestones.
Experience in compliance, regulatory tech, or financial crimes domain.

Responsibilities

Build, hire, and grow a high-performing engineering organization with coaching for managers and senior engineers.
Set multi-quarter roadmaps for Agentic AI systems in Core Automation.
Lead production AI systems with guardrails, grounding, and measurable reliability and compliance.
Oversee multiple parallel initiatives across compliance automation while sustaining velocity and quality.
Establish engineering standards, code reviews, and AI adoption frameworks to accelerate shipping.
