Job summary

Inspire Research seeks a Sr. Engineering Manager to build and scale high-performing teams while delivering reliable, high-impact software solutions.

You will mentor engineers, foster strong technical practices, and translate product strategy into execution across multiple squads. Reporting to the VP of Engineering & Product, you’ll shape roadmaps, own delivery quality, and collaborate with design and infrastructure teams in a fully remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and developing engineers at multiple levels, with a strong focus on coaching, feedback and career growth.
• Solid technical background with ability to understand system design, review architectural decisions, and guide toward scalable solutions.
• Delivery-focused track record owning execution in complex environments, balancing speed, quality, and long-term health.
• Strong partnership with product and design; ability to connect technical decisions to user impact and business outcomes.
• Experience improving engineering processes, agile practices, and team rituals to increase predictability and transparency.
• Clear and thoughtful communicator who aligns stakeholders and explains technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated flexibility and strong time-management in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate product vision into technical plans, milestones, and deliverables.
• Own delivery outcomes for your teams, ensuring on-time ships with high quality and clear risk communication.
• Drive engineering practices: code quality, testing, documentation, observability, and operational excellence.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural input while empowering engineers to make design decisions.
• Identify and address process inefficiencies, improve team workflows, and scale agile practices as scope grows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, data, security, and other engineering leaders to align standards.
