Job summary

Vetcove is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact team of software engineers. You will focus on people leadership, mentorship, and engineer growth while guiding projects from conception to completion across the technology stack.

You will collaborate with engineering leadership, product teams, and company leadership to maintain high technical standards, scalability, and long-term growth of the team in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience with web applications.
Experience managing or mentoring engineers in a fast-moving technical environment.
Genuine interest in people management, coaching, feedback, and engineer growth.
Strong technical judgment and ability to understand code, architecture, system design, and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers with a focus on people development, team health, and career growth.
Partner closely with product and engineering leadership to define priorities, drive execution, and deliver outcomes.
Guide projects from planning through rollout and long-term maintenance.
Stay close to the technical work by reviewing designs, architecture discussions, and tradeoffs.
Foster a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and career development across the team.
Collaborate with CTO and leadership to evolve products and technical foundations.
