Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to guide career growth of engineers, while contributing technically as a contributor or lead.

You will lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver cloud-based solutions that align with Nava’s mission and values. You will work remotely within eligible US states, collaborate with government clients, and help expand Nava’s client portfolio while maintaining production systems and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in agile, multidisciplinary teams, designing cloud-based systems.
• 1+ year experience as a People Manager.
• Experience building production-grade, cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and ORM like Hibernate.
• DevOps experience with Jenkins CI/CD and AWS cloud services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams, guide planning, estimation, prioritization, and trade-offs.
• Review architectures and designs; design technical roadmaps.
• Write code and perform code reviews; maintain production systems.
• Engage with product teams and clients to grow projects and manage risks.
• Manage on-call duties and incident resolution.
