Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to mentor engineers, contribute technically, and lead cross-functional teams. You will drive design, development, and delivery of cloud-based solutions in support of Nava’s mission and culture.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, production-grade systems, and collaboration with government and public-sector clients. Remote-friendly, with opportunities to shape architecture and roadmap while advancing public good.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment with cloud platform experience.
• At least 1 year as a people manager.
• Experience designing production-grade, cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres), JDBC, and ORM like Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Write code and perform code reviews; draft technical specifications.
• Guide cross-functional product teams to identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Lead planning, estimation, prioritization, and balance technical debt with milestones.
• Review architecture and designs; design technical roadmaps.
• Propose and enforce technical architecture; maintain production systems.
• Handle on-call duties and quickly resolve production issues.
• Contribute to growing Nava’s client portfolio through bids and stakeholder meetings.
